I’ll get back to you as soon as I can – probably in a couple of hours – to ask you when might be a good time to take your bike.
Ideally, you’ll be able to bring it down to my workshop in Seapark, right by the children’s play park.
I’ll give it a test ride and thorough inspection, and complete a full Cycling Ireland ‘MOT’, telling you about any problems I have found.
This will cost you NOTHING and you can take the ‘MOT’ and the bike back, and do what you wish.
But I’ll also give you an estimated no-obligation cost to put your bike right. I’ll break down the estimate into separate parts, so you know exactly what you would be paying for.
And that allows you to choose the work I do on your bike.
WHAT I DO
That Holywood Bike Thing is all about getting people onto their bikes. That means making bikes safe, affordable and very importantly ensuring they’re in decent working order. Look after your bike, and it’ll cost you less in the long run.
I aim to offer value for money bike repairs and maintenance, as well as workshops on cycling and cycle maintenance to all living in and around Holywood.
WHAT MAKES ME DIFFERENT?
A personal, local approach. No warehouses or disgruntled staff on minimum wage. I’m truly passionate about cycling – I started riding way before starting to fix and maintain bikes.
My specialisms are family bikes, road bikes, hybrids and mid-range mountain bikes. Though I’m learning more all the time.
I offer a quality, transparent and value-for-money job, with a friendly face. I’m anti-jargon and fiercely pro-cycling for all ages, genders and backgrounds.
I’m also second-hand friendly: I can often source better quality pre-loved wheels, tyres and other components than the new ones you’ll find on the high street.
So, I’m looking forward to taking a look at your bike.
Thanks for asking me to give it a once over!
P.S. If you don’t want to wait for me to get back to you, that’s fine. You can call or text me and I’ll try to get to you even quicker.
